On those days in Greece when I find myself up early (or still up from the night before) I notice that breakfast is usually a cup of coffee, (for most adults - accompanied with a cigarette!).

First pick out a few of the fries. Now you’ll know it’s an Authentic Greek Gyro IF there are fries inside the wrap. If there aren’t any, well, you’re not at Mezes.

Mezes uses a Greek spiced yogurt to flavor the Gyros and Souvlakia. It’s not that we’re actively promoting healthy living (we do serve our fair share of cheeseburgers), but the Greek diet happens to feature foods recognized for their healthy attributes.

We, of the Greek Orthodox tradition, are used to celebrating Easter later in the Spring season. There are times when they cross paths, and those who are of two faiths lose out on an Easter dinner, but it’s rare and far between.
