But what if you’re out eating with a group of friends at a beautiful village cafe situated just meters from the Mediterranean Sea and you want to place an order?

At Mezes Greek Grill, we use Tzatziki in the authentic Greek manner and place a generous portion in our Gyros and Souvlakia, but we don’t stop there it’s in our Gyro Bowls, on a Greek Burger and even in Vegetarian Pita.

As the daughter of Greeks who came to the United States from the homeland, it wasn’t surprising that Greek was my first language and English my second. Today, I am fortunate to use that to my benefit, and the benefits of others as a tutor of the children, and some adults, both in and out of the Greek School. Now, in our ongoing blog, I’ll bring the beauty of the Greek language to you, the reader.

It’s oK with me. An authentic Greek would use the first spelling, but in our modern era the language has preferred to spell our home region with a ‘K’.
