According to the University of Michigan Office of the Registrar classes begin today, September 6, 2016.

In many student’s minds, this next day after the annual Labor Day Weekend hails the end of summer. It means darker mornings and shorter days, not only marked with the turning of the earth but also the end of many open hours of play-time.

For those of us who are in the work-a-day world, it’s just another day.

For those in the advertising work-a-day industry it’s the end of many marketing campaigns and sights are turned to the upcoming holiday season.

For those of us in the Ann Arbor work-a-day, especially in the food and beverage industry, it means a busier season; the students are back!

To this end, Mezes wants to thank their regular customers who ate somewhat quiet meals in the restaurant or on the patio for your continued patronage. We recognize you, literally by name in some cases, have other options - not to mention a brown bag lunch from home - but you elected to join our Greek family and eat from our Authentic Greek menu some of the regular fare many eat in our village back from the Greek street food vendors.

Mezes will continue the great customer service you’ve come to know, and the flavorful Greek food you’ve eaten. Additionally, you’ll see more options, like the recently added Tuna Pita and Football Saturday breakfasts.

For the students, we look forward to seeing some familiar faces as well as meeting many news ones. Congratulations on continuing your education at the University of Michigan, a premier school in the higher education world.

Drop by soon, we’re waiting to serve you.
